Stedelijk Museum Schiedam cordially invites you to the exclusive press preview of the Monopole on Thursday, September 18, 2025, starting at 10:30 AM. Be among the first to discover this new art space in Schiedam (NL)!

Monopole — a former dance hall and cinema located across from Stedelijk Museum Schiedam —is being revitalized as an exciting new art space in Schiedam. The opening exhibition, Silence & The Presence of Everything is curated by Boris Acket and Sanneke Huisman.

Program

10.00 - Walk-in with coffee/tea and a snack

10.30 - Welcome by Anne de Haij (director of the Stedelijk Museum Schiedam / Monopole)

10.45 - Introduction by Boris Acket, artist and curator of the exhibition

11:15 AM - Visit Monopole and the exhibition Silence & The Presence of Everything

Address: The reception will take place in the chapel of Stedelijk Museum Schiedam (Hoogstraat 112, 3111 HL Schiedam). From there, we will walk together to the Monopole.
